States of progress

States of Progress are a way of notifying customers on how their order is going, allowing you to organise orders in the back office and help you or the customer track the status of the order.

 Procedure
You can start creating States of Progress by going to [Commerce \ Order Tracking] Menu, then click [States of Progress] and [Add].

You then have two options:

1a) You can use a pre-made state of progress, by selecting [Use >>] next to the list of suggestions.

You can then amend any details of the template.

1b) You can also create your own state of progress from scratch by selecting [Create New State from Scratch].

You can then add any details you wish into the fields.

2) Once created you can then assign the state of progress to a validated order, by going to [Commerce \ Order Tracking] "Manage States of progress history".

Then under New State of Progress select the state of progress from the drop down box.

You get one last chance to make any changes to the comment and the tick boxes.

When ready to assign it to the order, select [Save New State].

You’ll then be able to see at a glance the state of progress associated to an order.
