labottegaEstablished in 1965, La Bottega Italiana is a family-run delicatessen and coffee shop in the heart of Watford, Hertfordshire. it stocks a selection of the finest cheeses, wines, antipasti and authentic ingredients sourced from across Italy and Sicily.

Proprieter Vito Ricciardi wanted to get to grips with pricing and stock control, to improve efficiency and control costs. In September 2006 he introduced an Actinic EPOS system comprising of two cash drawers with customer displays, touch screens and barcode scanners to book in stock and back office system with printing for managing the business.
Three years on, he reflects on the benefits he has gained in customer service, efficiency, accuracy and business accounting.

The House Of The Tailor Of Gloucester

tailorofgloucesterThis tiny historic building next to the Gloucester Cathedral precincts, immortalised in Beatrix Potter’s second book The Tailor of Gloucester, is now run as a museum and shop by a group local volunteers.The volunteers, many of whom are not computer literate, appreciate the intuitiveness and ease of use of the Actinic EPOS system. Manager Colin Nyland values the management time it saves him, and the information it provides about their products, sales and stock levels.
