Taking Payments

You will need a payment solution in order to take debit and credit cards in your Actinic Online store.

Secure payment without Internet Merchant Account

If you are a start up business with no previous track record, you may find it hard to obtain merchant status from your bank. In this case, we strongly recommend that you initially set up an account with PayPal (PayPal Website Payments Standard, PayPal Express) and take payments (Credit cards, debit cards, Paypal payments) through this route.

In Actinic Online, you can also accept payments via Moneybookers Quick Checkout and Moneybookers eWallet without an internet merchant account.

Secure payment with Internet Merchant Account

If you already have a merchant account, you should use an online payment service provider. You will probably need to request an additional merchant account, or a change to your existing account to support ecommerce payments. You must not process web payments through your existing facility, as it breaks the banking rules and you could be fined. We would also recommend you enable PayPal to receive PayPal payments.

Actinic Payments is a secure internet payment system for taking online card payments and it's directly integrated into the Actinic Online admin console.

Actinic Online is also fully integrated with other payment service providers like SagePay, Barclaycard ePDQ and Ogone.
