Get the right equipment

If you are making your own video then the equipment list obviously includes a video camera, maybe a Flip or Kodak as they are low cost now, or the latest iPhone. Also important are lights and a good microphone, both of which will have a major impact on quality. For recording a podcast of two or more people in different places, use Skype with an add-on for recording plus editing software (e.g. Garageband or Audacity). Invest in a decent microphone too, like a Snowball Mic.
