Both you and your customers need to feel confident that you have adequate protection against hacking and fraud. Choose an ecommerce solution that takes this seriously and has a well developed track record.
The industry standard is PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) so make sure that your provider is fully equipped in this field. There’s more advice on this later on in the book.
