Actinic Q4 2011 Survey Shows Marginal Uplift in Sales for UK SME Online Retailers
West Byfleet, Surrey – 17 January 2012 – The sixth quarterly UK online sales survey conducted by ecommerce specialist Actinic shows a slight increase in online retail sales for small to medium enterprises (SMEs) in the fourth quarter of 2011 compared to Q4 2010.
The research reports an average of only a 1.5% increase in sales revenue as well as a 1.6% increase in the numbers of orders processed in the three months to 31 December 2011, when compared to the same quarter in 2010. However, there was over a 3% increase in the average number of orders processed by each company in Q4 2011 when compared to Q3 2011.

Online shoppers to spend nearly £8 billion this Christmas.
UK consumers are expected to spend almost £8 billion online this Christmas, despite tough economic conditions – a 14 per cent increase on last year, writes Simon Wicks. Research by the online retail membership body IMRG predicts that online shopping sales will hit £7.75 billion over the five weeks from Monday, 28 November – also known as ‘Cyber Monday’. Almost half (£3.72 billion) is expected to be spent in the first two weeks alone. UK SME Online Retailers Experience Slowdown in Sales but Actinic research reports ecommerce still better than High Street retail
West Byfleet, Surrey -- 1 September 2011 -- The fifth quarterly UK online sales survey conducted by ecommerce specialist Actinic (www.actinic.co.uk) shows a continued slowdown in online retail growth for small to medium enterprises (SMEs).
The research reports both an average 7% increase in sales revenue as well as a 7% increase in the numbers of orders processed in the three months to 30 June 2011, when compared to the same quarter in 2010.

Good weather warms up internet sales.
Warm weather, a late Easter and the Royal Wedding brought a welcome boost to online sales growth in April, according to figures out today. The British Retail Consortium’s monthly report on retail sales levels showed that non-food, non-store sales rose by a healthy 13.7% in April, compared to last April. Read the full article here.

West Byfleet, Surrey -- 18 April 2011 -- The fourth quarterly UK online sales survey conducted by ecommerce specialist Actinic (www.actinic.co.uk) has reported an average 9% increase in sales revenue in the three months to 31 March 2011 when compared to the same quarter in 2010. However, the sales for individual months reveal another trend, with January showing a 20% rise versus February and March at 4% growth.
