Established in 2004, Faye UK launched themselves online at the beginning of 2013, a strictly B2B company, offering wholesale ethical handbags to a variety of gift shops and department stores across the UK and Ireland. We spoke to Austin Lee, their founder, about their estore and how Actinic has worked for them.
Keys to success
We launched online as a way of simplifying our dealings with our vendors, streamlining our business and reaching a bigger audience. We work from the warehouse and have 6 to 7 agents on the road at any time, but the majority of our orders now come through our estore. When our agents confirm a sale they direct the buyers online to finalise. Thanks to the integration of Sage with our estore, it’s really easy for us to manage the business, on and offline, from one place. It was one of the key advantages of Actinic for us, as it really simplifies our accounting, stock management and much more!
We tested a few other platforms first but in terms of reliability and cost we chose Actinic and two years done the line we are still very happy with our decision. As a strictly B2B enterprise we have a stringent registration process and Actinic facilitated this giving us the option of offering different tariffs and logins for our clients. We send follow-up emails after we have new registrations, confirming the status of the potential buyer. We also started sending out newsletters with our special offers and new products. We have very loyal customers, around 2-3000 retailers who repeat buy and have given us positive feedback on our marketing actions so far. We followed Actinic’s advice for strategies and put some great ideas into action.
Overall, the support from Actinic has been fantastic, always on hand, swift to answer any queries and our dedicated sales support checks in with us regularly to see if we need anything and offer general support. We feel that we can really rely on the team, which is very reassuring! The graphic design studio gave us a beautiful and efficient site design that we’re really pleased with and our clients have no difficulty navigating the site, finding what they need and going through the buying process. We also asked the SEO team to run some campaigns that took us straight to the first page of Google and really brought us more qualified traffic, boosting our client list and sale! Actinic sites have a structure that is set up for organic SEO so once we set that up we know that it’s working away in the background helping boost our search engine ranking. Again, the Actinic experts were so helpful in answering questions and advising us on best practices.
Lastly we added Shopping Satisfaction to our site so we could start collecting genuine and certified customer reviews. It was really easy to set up and we’ve had some fantastic reviews that have boosted overall sales and we can see the difference on specific products too. We’ve had some international feedback which has peaked some interested in our bags abroad too!
All in all, we are happy with Actinic, pleased that we can rely on them and are watching our online sales go from strength to strength!
